A day after revealing that Tesla has filed a case against Alameda County, California, Elon Musk has come out and said that the company’s factory will open. In a tweet post earlier in the day, Musk said, “Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules. I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me.
Musk has said that if the authorities want to arrest anyone for defying their orders then it has to be him and no one else. Yesterday, a blog post by Tesla noted that it has taken all the necessary step to resume operations at its factory in Fremont but didn’t get the green light from the authorities. “The County’s position left us no choice but to take legal action to ensure that Tesla and its employees can get back to work. We filed a lawsuit on May 9 asking the court to invalidate the County Orders, to the extent the County claims they prevent Tesla from resuming operations,” stated the blog post.
