Not mandatory

You need to make your resume short and up to the point , so that interviewer can have quick scan about your skills and take relevant steps. So mentioning family background in not a good idea.

No, there is no need to mention family background in a resume in the first place. You should mention if you are insisted on mentioning about your family then you are allowed to write about your family under the personal details. Make sure you don't write long details about the family .

Family background is something that is irrelevant in showcasing your job potential. Resume should be short and crisp, and unnecessary information can reduce the chances of it being noticed. So avoid adding your family background to your resume.
